Partners · Employers & HR

Local work that values people, not just output.

Employers, HR teams and business networks will help turn momentum into fair work — flexible roles, kind adjustments and real chances for people rebuilding their lives.

Why your sector matters

Work is one of the strongest anchors a person can have — and the UK has employers who understand that a CV gap is a story, not a verdict. Your sector can turn the confidence residents build here into something lasting: a job, a trial shift, a first step back.

How you will help

Nothing here commits your organisation today. These are the ways we expect employers & hr partners to make the difference — agreed together, in writing, before anything begins.

1

Offer fair chances

Provide work experience, trials or flexible roles to people who are ready, with the understanding that everyone starts somewhere.

2

Lend your people

Allow staff time to volunteer as Cheerleaders or share their expertise with the programme.

3

Recruit with understanding

Read CV gaps and low confidence for what they are, and adjust recruitment so good people are not screened out.

4

Sponsor the practical

Sponsor travel, tools, uniforms or equipment — the small costs that decide whether starting work is possible.

What we will provide

  • A named contact and clear written expectations on both sides.
  • Consent-led connections — people decide whether to be linked with us.
  • Anonymised counts and themes showing what local workers needed, never personal data.
  • Recognition only if and when you ask for it.

The time it will take

A first conversation of about 30 minutes, then whatever you agree. Many partners will begin with a few hours a quarter.

“One pebble, dropped with care, will reach further than you would ever expect.”
Isa Matias · Founder, Ripple Pebble Project
