Safeguarding

Safeguarding & support

Ripple Pebble Project will be a free, peer-led self-help programme. It is not a clinical, medical or emergency service.

If you need help right now

  • Emergency or in danger: call 999
  • Samaritans (24/7, free): call 116 123
  • Shout text line (24/7): text SHOUT to 85258
  • NHS urgent help: call 111 and choose the mental health option

How we will keep people safe

All staff and volunteers will complete safeguarding training and appropriate background checks before working with pebbles.

We will have a named safeguarding lead and clear steps for reporting any concern.

What we will and won't do

We will offer peer support, goal-setting and signposting to local services.

We won't diagnose, treat or replace professional care — we will help people reach the right professional support when they need it.

Raising a concern

If you're worried about someone connected to the project, please use our contact page, or call 999 if anyone is in immediate danger.

“One pebble, dropped with care, will reach further than you would ever expect.”
Isa Matias · Founder, Ripple Pebble Project
